About us

At The Good Book Company, we are dedicated to helping individual Christians and local churches grow. We believe that God's growth process always starts with hearing clearly what He has said to us through His timeless word — the Bible.

We strive to provide resources that:

Our name says it all: The Good Book Company. As an organization, we are convinced that authentic Christian experience and ministry always center on God's Word — the Bible. And so we are committed to helping people grow in their knowledge and understanding of what the Bible teaches.

Who are our resources aimed at?

Whether you're a church minister, a humble Bible-study group leader, looking after a wild group of teenagers on a Sunday night or serving God in more behind-the-scenes roles, you need to be refreshed in your thinking and equipped for service if you are to stay energized and effective in the work of the gospel. We hope that you will find a host of helpful tools in our range of materials now available in the UK, North America, Australia and New Zealand.

A little bit of history

We didn't always have international reach — The Good Book Company started in 1991 in the boss' living room. Since then, it's grown to 25 members of staff in our South-West London offices. We're a collection of Anglican, Baptist, Congregational and Free Church evangelicals united in our aim to support and encourage the spread of the gospel by providing resources that help Christians grow in their understanding and love of the Lord Jesus Christ. (We have a soccer team as well!)

Working closely with others

We always enjoy linking up with other gospel-focused ministries and organizations and are particularly excited by our partnership with Christianity Explored and the opportunity we have to work with Matthias Media in the production of the monthly periodical, The Briefing. And we don’t just produce books. The Good Book Company is also dedicated to training and equipping Christians through conferences and its distance-learning college, the Good Book College

Baptist preacher, Charles Spurgeon once remarked that: the gospel is like a caged lion. It does not need to be defended, it just needs to be let out of its cage. That is the foundational thinking behind everything we aim to do. We create and promote resources that help people to engage with the Word of God, certain in the knowledge that God will be at work transforming people’s lives as they dig deep into his ‘good book’.

This is who we are, and we hope to serve the Lord by serving you. If you have specific questions about us or our work, please contact us.
