XTB (eXplore The Bible) is a series of daily Bible reading notes for children of the 7-11 age group, with puzzles, pictures and prayers.
XTB is beautifully presented with full-color illustrations and is a series of 12 books which, if used on a quarterly basis, will help a child cover all of the main books, themes and characters of the Bible in 3 years.
Look out for Table Talk - a book of daily Bible times for families with children aged from 4 upwards. The Bible passages are the same each day for XTB and Table Talk - so you can use the two books together, or on their own. Whichever suits you best.
Table of contents
- The first 15 days look at Acts, chs 1-4.
- Days 16-29 make a start in Genesis, chs 1-9.
- Day 30 takes a little look at Hebrews 11:7, relevant to Genesis.
- Day 31 starts Matthew and continues to Day 50, ending in ch 7.
- Day 51 picks up in Genesis again and covers chs 12-22 over 14 days.
- A series of puzzles and questions at the very end of the book offer a chance to look into other parts of the Bible not covered here.

My 7 year old son loves doing XTB at bedtime. It brings up good discussions and is also short. He reminds me to do it if I forget. Great resource for for forming a habit for quiet times. Thank you.
Excellent bible study notes for children(Review written for 'XTB Subscription')
I have found the XTB resource to be such a wonderful bible study tool and aid for our primary school children (7-9) I would definitely recommend it to parents who are considering to purchase it for there children who want to grow in the bible knowledge and spiritual growth as this is pitched a the right level.
A great first set of Bible notes
We recently changed from using story based Bibles to these Bible notes with my 6 1/2 year old daughter. She was clearly starting to get bored with reading the rather restricted Bible stories. These notes have helped her look forward to her Bible reading time and to learn from different parts of the Bible. In her own words, she says:
"They're brilliant. They get me thinking about God and Jesus. And I get to read my new (grown-up) Bible"
We've just bought the second book in the series!
Kicks kids off with independent bible study(Review written for 'XTB Subscription')
We have used table talk, a Good Book resource for many years with all 4 of our children. We have recently tried XTB with our 8 year old who is really enjoying it and is familiar with the design. It is really great to see her do her own Bible Study every night, and get into (hopefully) a lifelong love of the scriptures. I would really reccommend this resource, Table Talk is still really great (our oldest, now 10 still enjoys it and our youngest, 5 is now answering questions), and XTB is a super follow on. We do table talk as a family every weekday morning and XTB is used every night. It's great value and teaches alot of Gods word in a simple format anyone can understand. Thanks.
happy(Review written for 'XTB Subscription')
My kids just so enjoyed doing it by themselves. They brought it over to show me. I was so happy they can do it independently. The activities book such are good exercise through the self-study. Thank you our great saviour lord...
My son can't wait to start doing XTB every morning. He is learning lots about God and the bible from it. It's a really good balance of puzzles, bible reading and responding to this with prayer. We will definitely be buying more in the series. His younger brother also wants to do XTB (when he's a bit bigger), so we'll probably be buying another copy of this one too!
Bought this on recommendation from a friend to do with my 7 1/2 year old son. He enjoys it at bedtime as something we do together. I think my 6 year old would struggle a bit if we did it at bedtime as it involves solving puzzles/ deciphering codes and a little bit of thinking. She may fare better if we had time to do it earlier on in the day! This is our son's first foray into reading a real Bible and the stories are short, usually only a couple of verses (I use the Youth Bible with him as it was the only relatively appropriate one for him we had). We've only done 8 days over two weeks but this doesn't matter as the pages are not dated. Great that the stories follow on from each other. Am considering buying Table Talk to do with the rest of the family (7, 6,3) as they feel they are missing out a bit.
Good fun learning!
I used this series with my daughter, now started with my 8 yr old son. He is loving it. Such a fun way to teach good bible truths. He always asks to do it even when very tired!
I think this book is fun and exciting
It's a great way of finding out more about Jesus with your children
I bought this book for my son and we use it pretty much every day before bedtime. He always looks forward to xtb and really enjoys reading the bible with these notes. They're lively and fun with lots to think about and do and best of all each day they highlight a clear and simple point for the child to think and pray about. We've been learning about God's promises so far!
