Other information

XTB (eXplore The Bible) is a series of daily Bible reading notes for children of the 7-11 age group, with puzzles, pictures and prayers.

XTB is beautifully presented with full-color illustrations and is a series of 12 books which, if used on a quarterly basis, will help a child cover all of the main books, themes and characters of the Bible in 3 years.

Look out for Table Talk - a book of daily Bible times for families with children aged from 4 upwards. The Bible passages are the same each day for XTB and Table Talk - so you can use the two books together, or on their own. Whichever suits you best.

Table of contents

  • The first 15 days look at Acts, chs 1-4.
  • Days 16-29 make a start in Genesis, chs 1-9.
  • Day 30 takes a little look at Hebrews 11:7, relevant to Genesis.
  • Day 31 starts Matthew and continues to Day 50, ending in ch 7.
  • Day 51 picks up in Genesis again and covers chs 12-22 over 14 days.
  • A series of puzzles and questions at the very end of the book offer a chance to look into other parts of the Bible not covered here.

It's a great way of finding out more about Jesus with your children

I bought this book for my son and we use it pretty much every day before bedtime. He always looks forward to xtb and really enjoys reading the bible with these notes. They're lively and fun with lots to think about and do and best of all each day they highlight a clear and simple point for the child to think and pray about. We've been learning about God's promises so far!

really good material

I bought copies of XTB for all the children aged 6 to 11 in our Sunday school and found them to be really good books that the children enjoy reading and completing. They were recommended to me by my 10 year old grandaughter.

would recomment to everyone!!!

I have three children - 7, 8 10yr olds. I have been looking for ages for a devotional that would get them learning more of the Bible in a fun way and at their level. Someone recommended this book and my kids are absolutely enjoying it. They can't wait to sit down together and have our Bible time. It's fun and easy to follow and takes them through the Bible in a way they can engage and understand. Fantastic piece of material. only problem is they love it that much that they all argue over who is filling in the quizzes so looks like i'll be ordering three of everything lol!.

ready made bible study, great!

I am using this book with my 5 and 7 year old girls. They need help from me (especially 5 year old with the reading) but I like us to do it together so we can discuss and pray about what they've learnt. It is wonderful for me to have it all ready prepared, all I need to do is put younger children to bed, grab a bible and pen and we are ready to go! The girls are really keen to do the book and it teaches the bible clearly and explains the gospel very well. So glad I bought it. I wondered if it would be too hard for 5 year old but the only other option was pre-school there seemed to be a gap in the 5-7 age range. There are some puzzles etc but it isn't so much 'fun' that the point is lost.

Great

I have been using this resource with my youngest daughter for 4 weeks and she loves it. She asks for it each day. If anything more stickers would be good!

Great little kids devotional

My eldest kids are 9 and 7 and we use this book as part of our morning devotions. The kids really like it because the activities are interesting and not too difficult for them. Although the scripture readings are quite short, the questions and activities really get the kids to engage with what they have read. Also, you stay with the same book for a while so there is good continuity - if they are distracted one day, they usually get more understanding the next day. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that I think it's quite light and I supplement it with Discover For Yourself Bible Studies For Kids from Precept Ministries which we do later in the day. All in all though, these are fantastic resources (one needed for each child) and I would highly recommend them.

wonderful resource

Our 7-year-old daughter has enjoyed her first XTB book this summer. It has helped her get into the Bible, to actually explore. We appreciate the gospel focus. She likes the puzzles and stickers! Thanks for a wonderful resource.
