3 months of Bible readings to help you explore Matthew's Gospel, the exodus and join Paul as he travels to Rome in Acts.

Description

There is a free memory Verse card included in this issue that splits into four ways of learning Memory Verses from Exodus, Matthew and Acts.

One piece is a jigsaw puzzle, another a little mobile of planet earth, another piece folds into a picture frame and the last piece becomes a helicopter that is ready to fly in just two folds!

Issue Four of XTB is called Travels Unravelled. Three months of Bible readings to help you explore the very first Easter in Matthew's Gospel, wander through the wilderness with the Israelites in exodus, and join Paul as he travels to Rome in Acts. We'll dip into some of Paul's letter as well.

Other information

XTB (eXplore The Bible) is a series of daily Bible reading notes for children of the 7-11 age group, with puzzles, pictures and prayers.

XTB is beautifully presented with full-color illustrations and is a series of 12 books which, if used on a quarterly basis, will help a child cover all of the main books, themes and characters of the Bible in 3 years.

Look out for Table Talk - a book of daily Bible times for families with children aged from 4 upwards. The Bible passages are the same each day for XTB and Table Talk - so you can use the two books together, or on their own. Whichever suits you best.

Table of contents

  • Days 1-10 look at the final part of Acts, chs 23-28
  • Over days 11-15 there's a chance to look at some of the letters Paul wrote to the people he met in Acts.
  • We get back into Exodus chs 13-17 over days 16-25
  • And then again to Matthew chs 26-28 over days 26-45
  • Days 46-65 pick up in Exodus again and we go through chs 19-33 with a little look back at Matthew ch 5 on day 54, relevant to Exodus
  • A series of puzzles and questions at the very end of the book offer a chance to look into other parts of the Bible not covered here. There is also a little bit of serious code-cracking to do on the very last page.

A great resource for kids

Our 7 year old son loves this series. A great way to get kids looking at the Bible for themselves.

fantastic resource

The XBT series have been a great blessing to our 7 year old. It has motivated him to get into the habit of reading the Bible each day . Infact, he will not skip a day! Its strength lies in the its systematic teaching of books of the Bible but in bite sized chunks that are easily digestible for this age group. It is also a has fun activities to do and is not too long. Highly recommended.

Good value, attractively presented and spiritually'sound'.

I have been using the xtb series for a while now with my son. He is now older than the prescribed age range of 7-10years, but discussion about the topics covered can be made relevant. He has always enjoyed the format of fun intro, short Bible passage, puzzle and prayer. The variety of books covered, the fun presentation and spiritual relevance make these the best notes I have used with him.

Excellent way to read the Bible with your children

The XTB series is a great way to read the Bible with your children. My 9 year old and 7 year old love it. It clearly presents the big picture of the Bible (creation, promises to Abraham, and the fulfillment in the New Testament). It is alos a good way for children to get into the habit of independent daily Bible reading.

One of the best notes ever.

These notes were very good.I enjoyed these notes for lots of reasons, first of all i liked the way they didnt have specific dates so you didnt have to do it every day also because if you forget to do them for a while it doesnt really matter.I also liked the extra bits that come in the packs for making things relevent to the notes. Also the notes are easy to understand and make the bible appeal to kids who are maybe not christians and will hopefully encourage them to become christians,it also makes bible reading more fun for kids and i would rate these notes as 10 out of 10 and i would encourage all children to use them. I would say these notes are suitable from ages 8 to 14.Finally i thourally enjoyed these notes.
