Very good & useful. The talk outlines aren't very long, though, but I suppose that gives you the opportunity to take it the way you want to.

We're doing the course at our university. Due to time reasons, we're condensing the first 6 sessions to 4 weeks worth (each just over an hour long) and then we're having a summary week. We're not using the other 4 weeks of the course. (Posted on 10/29/09)

The leaders edition of the CE study guide is split into two sections. Section 1 is the training notes to work through before the course. It covers topics such as 'Why evangelize?', practicalities of running the course, follow up and the tool which is so helpful for understanding Mark's gospel - session 7 'identity, mission, call'.
Section 2 is the course material itself, which is laid out in the same way as the study guides (with the same page numbers for easy reference), but includes answers to the questions (in case you get stuck) and additional notes on some of the more tricky bits. Very helpful.
We have had a good number of leaders use this and all of them have found both sections to be clear, helpful and full of gems previously undiscovered or forgotten. So if you've been asked to help on a course and are feeling anxious about having enough Bible knowledge then working through this will equip you for the task and help melt away any fear. I have used this booklet to lead quite a no of courses on Christianity Explored and each time I have found it is such a good guide. All the material and more is there so that the minimum of preparation is necessary - in fact the book can be used as a prompt throughout the course. I thoroughly recommend it.

The training material was excellent. However, perhaps I missed out on something, but it could have been pointed out that the Leaders Guide contained the study guide notes - this would have saved me buying an extra study guide. (Posted on 10/2/07)

The Christianity Explored leaders study has been very useful for leading the course, mainly because of the helpful leaders notes for the different Bible passages, as well as very helpful tips and information for leading. I'd highly recommend it and say it is something that all leaders should get. (Posted on 5/30/07)

A great introductory to real, life-changing, living Jesus through Mark's Gospel. Review by Matt D

The Christianity Explored course is an excellent introductory to Jesus, looking at his identity, life, mission and call through the reliable account in Mark's Gospel.

The leaders' edition of the study guide is very helpful for those running the course, with help for how to help others meet Jesus through the encounters in Mark's Gospel, how to answer questions they might have, and how to really help those wanting to investigate Christianity. (Posted on 4/11/07)
