A year's worth, four issues, of Bible reading notes for young people.
Engage Bible notes have been written to help young people understand and apply the scriptures. They also seek to address relevant issues in teenagers' lives and provide a Bible reading resource that is engaging and long-lasting.
This is the best way to use Engage - setting up a subscription so that you receive regular encouragement - every three months - to stay connected with God through His word.
They include articles on stuff relevant to young Christians, looking at issues like self-esteem, money, sex, bereavement, etc as well as interviews with real-life Christians!
Engage includes essential information on the basics of the Christian faith, sections which tackle mind-bendingly tricky questions that confuse us all and an expanding toolkit to get readers wrestling with the Bible and understanding it for themselves without relying on what other people tell them.

There is a huge need for this resource! Most daily reading material is of a more devotional nature where a passage is read and someone has written comments on what it means and how we live accordingly. But Engage actually engages young people in scripture and helps them explore and discover the meaning themselves.

I read this every night with my 12 yr old daughter. I find she is interested and engaged and it is written in a way that is easy to understand. I am very happy with it.
Bought these for young people in church. They are proving very helpful for studying bible by themselves. Older members of the congregation are also enjoying them as they go book by book through the Bible. The only negative would be some font colors make reading difficult for older people eg peach font resembled white too closely. That’s only reason I’ve put a 4.
Coming from a reformed evangelical church I wasn't too sure about the content on maybe some doctrinal points that may see things differently.....if you know what I mean! However, I bought these Explore books with an open mind for a new Christian agreed 19. We go through the readings together mostly and have found them to be thought provoking and challenging and encouraging. It seems that any points I feared may be different are not covered but the author encouraged discussion with an older Christian our church leader.
The layout of the book is fun, yet not irreverent, and the content is very good. Keep up the good work people, there is very little"good" material like this.

the Engage notes have a helpful layout for each day. It's good that the notes tell you how to find your way round the bible at the start, for those who are unfamiliar. There is the right amount of depth in what is written for each bible passage.
I have two girls aged 11 and 8 who have found the series not just inspiring but as well stimulating. We all look forward to our family devotion time together, it really engages, for us it is question time. Would definitely recommend for use to family with growing up kids, it is all worth it.
I bought this book at my church and it's been really useful for me (a fourteen year old) to make bible study fun, accessible and something to look forward to. I feel like I can now really apply scripture to my daily life, and like this in depth look at scripture is really helping to strengthen my relationship with God.

Books where a great buy, really helpful for me
This is the 3rd year's subscription my teenage son has had, he has found it to be good & relevant teaching. Interesting articles and relevant for teenagers today. He is now 16yrs old and says "it is good for those beginning to explore faith in Christ, but not quite deep for more mature Christians."
I use this with my teenage children. It's written in an engaging and relevant style and this is what I find useful. Also useful are the more open-ended questions.
