Os Guinness author of "The Call"

In the last few months the world has changed. John has written a number of books but none before in the space of a week, as he has this one. Yet despite its brief gestation, this book puts the coronavirus pandemic into a historical, scientific, theological and personal perspective that will help all of us who are in the midst of this crisis to view the situation though a wider-angled lens.

Dr David Cranston Associate Professor of Surgery, University of Oxford; Governing Body Fellow of Green Templeton College

This is a timely, well written piece that helps us maintain perspective on eternity during these difficult times. John does a phenomenal job tackling some very important questions that many of us and those around us are facing as COVID-19 continues to sweep across the globe. This is a biblical, gospel-centered reminder that God is still on his throne, and he is leading us into a world where all sad things will come untrue

J.D. Greear J.D. Greear, Pastor at The Summit Church

The question, 'Where is God in a coronavirus world?' is one many are asking in the midst of a world that seemingly changed overnight. Thankfully, John Lennox compassionately engages the problem of suffering with insight and understanding. His thoughtful analysis is a needed and welcome perspective in these difficult days.

Melissa B. Kruger Vice President of Discipleship Programming, The Gospel Coalition; Author, Wherever You Go, I Want You to Know and Growing Together

A clear, compassionate and critical read for these times. This book will give those who believe renewed confidence in why they believe; and it will help those yet to believe to find the key answers they seek.

John Lennox’s engaging and profound book will help both committed Christians and the open-minded of any faith or none find answers from the Christian faith that provide both perspective and hope.

Vaughan Roberts Rector, St Ebbe’s Church, Oxford

How are we to make sense of a threatening global pandemic that has brought life to a standstill? Where is God? How could he have allowed this? Professor Lennox brings his deep grasp of science and his passionate Christian faith together to reflect on our frightening predicament. This profound but easily accessible book does not claim to have all the answers but certainly addresses the big questions and will help you make sense of the challenges we all face together.

Dr Peter Saunders CEO, International Christian Medical and Dental Association (ICMDA)

Warm, thoughtful, and engaging without ducking the issues, John Lennox puts in far better words what so many of us would want to say.

Hugh Palmer Former Rector of All Souls Langham Place, London

If you need true comfort, support, and hope for life in these strange times, this timely book is the shot in the arm you’re looking for. John Lennox helps us intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually in the perplexing world of Covid-19, not with the trite positivity of social media memes, but with clear thinking and solid foundations. To cope right now — to banish fear and feel connected — turn off Netflix, YouTube, and Disney, and read this instead.

4.00 stars Meaningful

John Lennox’s Where Is God in a Coronavirus World? is a short but powerful book that speaks directly into the fear, confusion, and uncertainty many people experienced during the pandemic. As a youth pastor, I found this book especially helpful in addressing the kinds of questions students often ask when facing suffering: Why is this happening? Where is God? Can we trust Him in times like this?

Lennox approaches these questions with both clarity and compassion. He doesn’t pretend to ...

5.00 stars A gem of a book - full of thought

Can't recommend this book enough as the thoughtful guide to the big why and what does it mean questions. Good introduction to some philosophical issues but at heart this book can be given as a pastoral response and faith bringing response to life's big issues. Also what a great pocket book size - we should have more apologetics in this format.

5.00 stars Forensic examination

(Review written for 'Where is God in a Coronavirus World? (ebook)')

As one expected from Mr Lennox. A forensic examination of a question many folk have been pondering - myself included. It is short book with no frills. Helpful insights during this time of lockdown.
