Creating a kids' book is a team effort! The team consists of an editor, an illustrator, art director, and of course, an author. That doesn't include other team members, like those who actually print the books, and those who coordinate their distribution.
For books in our popular Tales That Tell The Truth series, the core team includes the following four roles. We're looking behind the scenes at Any Time, Any Place, Any Prayer, which is written by Laura Wifler.
Carl is also an author and edits books for adults on theology and the Bible. His aim is to come alongside the author to help them write with both biblical faithfulness and in a way that connects with the minds and hearts of the kids who’ll read the book (and their parents!)
Catalina's illustrations are integral to communicating the Bible story accurately while engaging the attention and imagination of young readers.
You see Andre's influence in many of the graphics, illustrations, and covers we share. His direction ensures that the illustrations are biblically faithful and full of creativity, and that everything keeps moving along to hit the deadlines.
Any Time, Any Place, Any Prayer is written by Laura Wifler, who carefully crafted this storybook to give kids a biblical understanding of talking to God.
