I have used these books with several of my children over the last 5 years or so. I have found them helpful in teaching the bible faithfully in a format which tweens and early teens can understand and engage with.
My son has completed the whole set of these and now my daughter has just started going through them. They consistently go through God's word and explain difficult words and ask questions of what they have read. They are fun enough with code words etc to have some interest but not as childish as the notes for younger children. My son started these at the end of year 5 but we have held off for another year for my daughter as really felt they are better suited to being secondary school age.
