All About the Bible

All About the Bible by Alison Mitchell is such a fantastic resource for helping children understand not only what the Bible says, but also how we got the Bible we have today.

What I especially appreciate is the incredible range of topics covered. It goes beyond simply introducing familiar Bible stories and explores questions like who wrote the Bible, how it was preserved and translated, whether the Bible is accurate, what biblical geography looked like, and even what archaeology can ...teach us. There are also sections on Bible characters, famous verses, unusual Bibles, promises, rescues, and the overall story of Scripture.

I love how approachable the format is for children. The short sections and visual layout make it easy to browse, stop at an interesting fact, and come back to it later. It feels more like an invitation to explore than a traditional nonfiction book, which makes it especially useful for curious kids who love asking questions and discovering little details.

As a homeschool mom, I can see this being such a valuable addition to our shelves. It works beautifully for independent browsing, family Bible time, morning time, or simply pulling out when a question comes up. Most importantly, it helps children grow in biblical literacy while building confidence that God’s Word is trustworthy, true, and worth knowing. This is one of those books I think belongs in every Christian family’s library.

This is an amazing resource for children who are interested in learning about the Bible. The book is packed with beautiful photos, useful facts, Bible stories, and engaging information that will keep young readers interested and excited to learn more.

I especially love that it includes so many Bible verses, space to learn the books of the Bible, and introductions to some of its main characters. It also covers the geography and history of the Bible, explains how it was ...written, how it became widely known, and how it is used today.

I don't think you can go wrong having this book at home. It introduces the Bible in a fun, approachable, and educational way that makes learning enjoyable for children.

This newest addition to the All About series is packed with 100+ fascinating facts, vibrant photos, maps, and engaging graphics that make learning about God’s Word feel like an adventure. I cannot wait to add this to our Morning Time basket for the new homeschool year and introduce it to my girls. I have a feeling it’s going to become one of those books we’ll reach for again and again.

From how the Bible was written and translated to the real people, places, and events woven throughout Scripture, every page points children back to the truth that God’s Word is trustworthy, true, and relevant for their lives today.

As Christian parents, we’re always looking for ways to help our children grow in their love for God’s Word, and this feels like such a fun, approachable resource to enjoy alongside your family Bible reading.
