Simple without being simplistic, Lennox’s book is a clear, understandable entry point for anyone interested in a controversial field that is often filled with technical phrasing and obscurantism. I picked up a book to read about science and was given a thorough presentation of the gospel instead. That is not to say that John Lennox did not provide a very thorough discussion of science.  He did.  Very effectively.  His true gift is in his ability to craft a story that was both inspired language with gifted writing to present two seemingly contradictory ideas in a very logical, methodical, yet palatable writing style.  Both Christian and non-Christian, scientist and non-scientist, and everyone in between, would benefit tremendously from reading this book.

It is a commonly held view that science and Christianity are mutually incompatible. John Lennox clearly explains and illustrates how Christians hold the exact opposite view. Science and Christianity are not only compatible but can support the same world view and beliefs.
This accessible and very readable book is a great introduction to this hotly debated topic. It tackles head-on issues such as the role of God in creation in the light of scientific evidence, the role of faith in science and religion, the truth of the Bible, the compatibility of human reason with Christian belief and our personal relationship with God in a world of scientific scepticism.

Finally, case studies tell what can happen upon entering the laboratory where truths are tested, but beware, particularly if you are coming from some sceptical distance, it’s a book that could make a difference in worldviews and even lives.

Writing for sceptics and for all honest seekers after truth, Lennox explores here the apparent conflict between science and faith with his typical penetrating insights. Highly readable. I think this short book is brilliant.

Many people today think that science has disproved the existence of God and made the claims of the Bible irrelevant. However they may have never seriously considered the evidence for either of these beliefs. This excellent book starts by explaining why these are important questions and then goes on to demonstrate that science and Christianity are fully compatible. It also explains why in our scientifically oriented world, the Bible can be, and should be, taken seriously. Similar material has been covered in previous books, including John Lennox’s own book, “God's Undertaker”. However this book is easier to follow and is aimed at a broader audience. It will be particularly helpful for Christians who have never thought about the relationship between science and their faith, and for non-Christians seriously considering the claims of Christianity. I found it very helpful and strongly recommend it.

John Lennox is a brilliant teacher and story-teller. In Can Science Explain Everything he brings refreshing clarity to important questions which too often are muddled and confusingly complex. The strengths of his arguments are clearly based on decades of intellectual curiosity, breathtakingly wide reading and countless conversations with people holding starkly different opinions. But the book never gets overcomplicated – and Lennox’s very personal illustrations and stories make clear why the questions matter so much.

John Lennox is more qualified than anyone to dispel the myths and assertions that continue to surround the God and science debate. Here, John has written a thoughtful and persuasive introduction to the debate that will be of interest to Christians, skeptics and anyone in-between. It's the kind of book that if you're a Christian you won't feel ashamed to give to a skeptical friend.

You don't have to be either a scientist or a christian to value this book. John Lennox writes with a simplicity that allows the non-scientist to follow but takes you into the presence and thoughts of some of the science greats as he writes persuasively to defend God's place in the scientific world. An important introduction for anyone wrestling with the issues of science and faith.
