Christianity Explored gives people time and space to discover the best news they've ever heard. Over seven interactive sessions, as they explore Mark's Gospel, people find out who Jesus is, what he achieved, and what it means for us today. The course is very flexible. You can use it one-to-one, or in larger groups, in churches, or in homes.
This award-winning DVD is presented on location by Rico Tice. It works alongside the Handbook and Leader's Guide and has over 150 minutes running time.
It also has subtitles in over 14 other languages making it more accessible than ever and superb value. Ideal for using with an English-speaking group where ...one member would benefit from viewing subtitles in their mother tongue.
Languages include:
Simplified Chinese, Spanish, French, Korean, Russian, Japanese, Portuguese, Arabic, Farsi, German, Polish, Dutch, Italian, Romanian and English for hard of hearing.
Why only NTSC format?
Subtitles that have been produced for NTSC format need to be totally re-timed to make them work in the PAL format. This process would have cost many thousands of pounds for so many languages. Given the fact that the vast majority of DVD players in traditionally PAL regions can now read NTSC without problem, we considered this extra expense to be an unwise use of gospel resources.
If you find that your DVD player will not play this DVD, you may wish to consider updating your DVD player (which will cost around £30).

Over the years I’ve used the Alpha course but came across Christianity Explored and decided to order the handbook and leaders guide.
This is excellent material, Leaders guide so full of extra material, well laid out and easy to follow. The handbook is so good at keeping group focused on bible.
Love that from the beginning the group get into the bible, using Marks Gospel. This enables the group to really focus on Christ and who He is and why He came. I use YouTube for the videos and believe they are well presented and on topic, and the presenter ...comes across as relatable and understandable.
The group are encouraged to discuss the video, what they’ve read in the bible and at end of each session have set homework.
Actually, that sounds quite mundane, but actually the group have been animated by the material, in fact have described it as inspirational. Some of the group have been attending church for years, but admit they haven’t bothered with reading the Bible, but now relishing it.
They are learning the necessary tools to maintain their growth, and I’ve gained spiritually also, good to check my own foundations. Have also purchased the follow on courses

The Book of Mark is a good place to be. It is shorter than the other Gospels and has all the essentials of Christianity. I like the option of allowing the class to participate, especially in a prison environment. It gives the people in the class the opportunity to speak without threat. It is imperative that the teacher be open and accepting of the class, even if he does not agree with the views of a particular person. The teacher's position should be to present clearly the Gospel and allow the Holy Spirit to persuade them that what is being ...said is true. Perhaps there will be those who disagree with me, but a simple presentation of the Gospel that includes what salvation is and a brief explanation of who Jesus is would be a good place to start. Then get into the Christianity Explored as a follow-up to these claims.

We love using Christianity Explored in our church. Both classroom environments, and one-to-one studies have used this material. It's simple to follow and yet profound since the Gospel of Mark leads to profound reflections. We are grateful for a resource which takes us thoughtfully through the Scriptures.
