We love our God's Big Promises Storybook Bible and we've loved having The Story of Christmas to read together this Advent. This book takes 7 stories from Gabriel's visit to Mary until Jesus' escape to Egypt and presents them in a smaller, Christmassy package for little ones.
Carl Laferton is a master at making Biblical Theology accessible for little ones. This makes the God's Big Promises Storybook Bible a little different from other bible storybooks. As well as retelling key ...stories in the Bible's storyline, it also includes a number of 'promise paths' which kids can use to follow God's faithfulness from promise to fulfilment. In The Story of Christmas, kids can see these promises fulfilled in the Christmas account and know that the bible is one big story where God keeps his promises - How Good?!
As always, we also love the work of @Jensketch in making these stories come alive with vibrant joyful illustrations which little ones just connect with.
This is a great book for gifting or for reading as a family this Christmas and has been especially loved by our Miss 3 and Mr 5.
