Have you heard of the quarter-life crisis? It happens to many people in their 20s and 30s in different ways. Maybe you are feeling lonely and life hasnât panned out the way you imagined. Maybe you dislike your job. Maybe you have doubts or regrets. Maybe you feel like you are actually getting older. Maybe you feel rootless or dissatisfied with life.
Rachel Jonesâ book is for anyone dealing with the disillusionment that can come with living as an adult for a while and the struggles that come with wondering, âIs this it?â
Rachel Jones writes this book in a ...style that is down-to-earth, conversational, and vulnerable. It almost feels like reading her own struggles and, in a sense, reading her journal. She writes to fellow believers who may be struggling, but she does so in a way that shows she is in the same boat while reminding both herself and her readers of the truth and pointing herself and her readers back to Jesus.
It is almost like she is preaching to herself, and we get to join in and listen as she reminds herself of the difference Jesus really does make.
While not every chapter resonated with me, there were several that were very relevant to me. I found them helpful, encouraging, and focused on eternity.
There were a couple of areas where I didnât quite agree, mainly from one chapter regarding her interpretation of Ecclesiastes and the idea of life being âmeaningless.â
Otherwise, I really enjoyed the majority of the book and found it to be very down-to-earth, honest, and focused on Jesus.

I have not been able to fully finish reading a book since I graduated high school (I want to be, but never have been a reader). With that being said, I was very surprised (and somewhat sad) that I came to the end of this book after a short few days! The messages were encouraging, eye-opening, and truly put living for Christ into perspective for younger adults. I am going to have all my friends and sisters read it, and I might even have to read it again in a few years (or sooner) to refresh!! I recommend any young ...Christian (or any young person in general looking for some direction) should read this book. Youâll laugh, cry, and ultimately grow in your knowledge and relationship with Christ.

This is great. Rachel is honest and encourages us with scripture throughout to listen what God has to say to us. As a young adult was a great read and I'll revisit the wide range of topics to hear what Gods says and how Rachel has understood experiences.
