For many of us, being in the great outdoors surrounded by the beauty of nature helps us to feel peaceful and connected to God.
Seth Lewis helps us to experience God and the beauty of creation in an even deeper way by giving us a biblical understanding of what God is saying to us through the world he’s created for us. As we view the plants, the animals, the skies, the earth, the seas, and everything else God has created through the lens of his word, we will experience heartfelt joy as we worship him for who he is and what he has made.
So take the time to slow down and enjoy the gift of God’s world as you interpret it through the gift of God’s word. These reflections can be used devotionally.

Lewis declared God's glorious creation has a language that we can respond to. A pure delight! It hadn’t occurred to me that creation might have a language. Yet, when I am in nature or just looking at the heavens and the earth, many times, I’m moved to thank God for His creation. And the Bible tells us that all creation speaks of the glory of God.
Thank you, Seth Lewis, for revealing what God has revealed to you.

I tried this book based on the recommendations and on the potential that the topic offered. I have not been disappointed! I think it is such a rich resource from which to draw as I try to grow more aware of God and His character. I think it offers some deep improvements to my approach to many passages of Scripture I know but didn't glean sufficiently before.

This is a truly beautiful book: inspiring, thought-provoking, and wonderfully Jesus-centred. Sometimes as evangelicals we can overlook creation — but 'The Language of Rivers and Stars' will help you fall more in love with God as you listen to all that His creation is singing to you.
