Children will love learning the story and truths of the first Easter with this faithful, vibrant storybook. Using the stories and illustrations from the popular God's Big Promises Bible Storybook, The Story of Easter takes youngsters from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday, showing both what happened and why Jesus died and rose.
Designed to teach children aged 2-6 the Easter story, it can also be used to give out at church Easter events for kids.
This is a perfect resource for children wanting to learn the Easter story. The illustrations are bright and beautiful, and I really appreciate that the message isn’t watered down like it is in some children’s books. It presents the truth of Easter clearly and in a way that young readers can understand and engage with.
I highly recommend!
Thank you to The Good Book for sending me a complimentary copy to read and review!
An excellent re-telling of the Easter story and the promises of God being fulfilled in Christ's resurrection. We gave it as a gift to all those who came to our Wonder of Easter Family Event on Good Friday
The Story of Easter is a faithful and vibrant presentation of the death and resurrection of Jesus. Written by Carl Laferton, it is easy for children to understand.
The book breaks down different episodes in the Easter story. It tells how the religious leaders were not happy with Jesus when he arrived on a donkey. It shows the Lord’s Supper as a way for us to remember how Jesus’ body was broken to rescue us.
The Son of God
The book tells that Jesus was steadfast in his belief of God’s promises. Christ is proclaimed as the Son of God when he died on the cross. And we see the joy of Jesus’ followers when he appeared to them after his resurrection.
The illustrations by Jennifer Davison are colorful and friendly. This is the perfect book to pass out to families and children to teach, encourage, and evangelize!
I received a media copy of The Story of Easter and this is my honest review.
