About this book

This seven-session Bible study by Timothy Keller on Romans 1 – 7 will help you to understand one of the most read, most written-about parts of the Bible.

Explore righteousness (why we don’t have it, why we need it, and how we can receive it) and be thrilled as you read that "the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). It's a truth which will liberate every aspect of your life.

Each session will draw you to look closely at the Bible text and apply it meaningfully to your everyday life. The guide includes questions that open up discussion, optional personal reflections, and a ...

I love this small group study guide series from The Good Book Company. Christians are regularly told they should spend more time studying God’s Word, but sometimes there’s not a clear plan for how to do this. These study guides provide practical, step-by-step guidance on working through books of the Bible, along with wonderful questions that encourage reflection and application. I hope churches and Christian ministries will take advantage of this wonderful resource.

The aim of the The Good Book Company is to be biblical, relevant and accessible, and nothing embodies that ethos more than their Good Book Guides. Each guide provides a framework for your group to dig into the text of Scripture for itself while providing enough of a steer to keep you on track plus useful pointers towards application. The result is a great combination of fidelity to Scripture and ease of use.

The Good Book Guides are an immensely precious resource for the church. A careful blend of helpful context and clearly-worded, searching questions which aim to help readers to uncover the meaning of the text and  apply it in responsible ways. I think these small group studies are the best available and pray that they will continue to prove helpful to local churches across the world!

Tim Keller's ministry has had a significant impact on my life and I'm grateful for the books and resources he has written. This study guide for Romans 1-7, however, is an exception. I wonder if someone else wrote it using Keller's themes instead of Keller himself writing the questions. Our women's Bible study group found the workbook questions to be shallow and often missing the main points of the passage. Romans is so rich, but the questions didn't dig into the depths at all. Topics that could have been served by several questions peeling back layers of God's character and ...

(Review written for 'Romans 1-7: The gift of God')

Just finished this Good Book study guide with a small home-group. We felt it was a helpful guide into this important and, at times, difficult book.

Have used a number of these studies in the past, so would definitely recommend them as a trustworthy resource. The investigate-explore-apply-pray model is a tried and trusted one. It purposely gives you more than you need, which allows you to tailor each chapter to the needs of the group. That does mean that the ...
