"You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.
O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever."

(Psalm 30 v 11–12)

May my lips overflow with praise,
for you teach me your decrees.
May my tongue sing of your word,
for all your commands are righteous.

O LORD, you are my God;
I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness
you have done marvelous things,
things planned long ago.
(Isaiah 25 v 1)

So much to praise God for: His faultless faith; the incredible things He's done; His perfect plans.

The moon will be abashed, the sun ashamed; for the LORD Almighty will reign on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and before its elders, gloriously. (Isaiah 24 v 23)

What a glorious prospect: The Lord ruling his restored people. And with such a brightness that the sun and moon blush at how feeble they are in comparison.

In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his place of rest will be glorious. (Isaih 11 v 10)

King Jesus will gather His people from all ends of the earth. What an incredible picture of the future for God's people. And the future has already begun. Jesus already rules over His church β€” Christians everywhere. But His reign isn't total yet. One day, Jesus will return to rule over all creation. His people will live with Him in perfection.

Then Jesus cried out, β€œWhen a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me. I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness. (John 12 v 44–46)

Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favour and a good name in the sight of God and man.
- Proverbs 3 v 3-4
